Litter-Robot 3: Waste drawer liner installation guide

Emptying Litter-Robot is easy as taking out the trash with custom-fit waste drawer liners made specifically for Litter-Robot.

Litter-Robot does not require special bags or liners for the waste drawer though. As long as it fits, you can use it. Customers often use 10- to 13-gallon clear kitchen garbage bags or large clear plastic grocery bags.

Empty the waste drawer when indicated by the app or the flashing blue light on the control panel. How often you empty the waste drawer depends on the number and size of your cats. For two average-sized cats, twice per week is typical. For a single cat, once per week is usually sufficient.

If you use the Whisker app, press Reset Gauge in the Controls section of the app when you empty the waste drawer to reset the waste drawer level in the app.

1. Open a new drawer liner and roll down the edges about four times.

2. Start at the back of the waste drawer and push the rolled edge of the bag into each of the four tabs, keeping the bag taut across the back and sides. Pull the slack forward toward the carbon filter.

3. Make sure the bag does not come up past the top of the sides of the waste drawer, which can result in a false flashing blue "drawer full" light on the control panel.

4. Slide the drawer closed and press the Reset button to zero the cat sensor.
