Error notification: Scale Active 30 Minutes (after installing LitterHopper)- 3 Blue and 2 Yellow Flashing lights
- Update Firmware
- Verify hopper foot (kickstand) is installed properly
- Slide paper under foot to ensure it does not touch the floor
- Verify robot is clear of wall, extension cords, etc
- Verify scale feet are clear of litter grains (reference attached image)
Confirm in the Whisker app that your Litter-Robot 4 is updated to firmware version 1175.5021.292 or above.

Refer to the installation guide to ensure the anti-tip guard is installed properly.
Slide a piece of paper under the anti-tip guard to confirm it doesn't touch the floor.
Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Avoid soft, uneven, or unstable flooring for accurate weight measurements. The Litter-Robot 4 Carpet Tray can be used to improve the accuracy of SmartScale™ weight readings when Litter-Robot 4 sits on carpet or an uneven surface.
If you have a litter mat, place it completely in front of the unit, not partially underneath.
All sides of the robot should not touch any walls or other surfaces.
Check that all four feet can move freely and clear any litter or debris that may be stuck in or around the feet.
Check that none of the four feet are resting on top of a cord or in a grout line.
Run a test cycle. Short press the Reset button, then short press the Cycle button to run a Clean cycle.
Successful: If you no longer receive the “Scale Active 30 Minutes” error from your unit and your app, and your unit dispenses litter and displays a blue light bar, you’ve been successful.
Unsuccessful: If the app still displays the same error message, there's likely an issue with your unit. Please contact Customer Experience for assistance.

What do I do?
My LitterHopper is under warranty
The LitterHopper automatically includes a 1-year warranty, regardless of if your Litter-Robot 4 is still under warranty. If you purchased your Litter-Robot 4 and LitterHopper together and bought the WhiskerCare Extended Warranty, the LitterHopper will be covered under your WhiskerCare Extended Warranty. Please contact our Customer Experience Team for further assistance.
The warranty on my LitterHopper has expired
