What is the difference between a new product and a reconditioned product?
Manufacturer-reconditioned products or parts are generally sold as new and then returned under our 90-day in-home trial. Eligible products are reconditioned and tested to verify they meet original factory specifications. Our reconditioned products offer great value since you'll receive a manufacturer-approved product at a lower price. Note: Additional promotions or discounts, including but not limited to affiliate and referral discounts, cannot be combined with purchases of reconditioned items.How often do I need to replace the Litter-Robot Waste Drawer Liner or OdorTrap® Packs?
Replace the waste drawer liner whenever you need to empty the waste drawer. How often you empty the waste drawer depends on the number and size of your cats. For two average-sized cats, twice per week is typical. For a single cat, once per week is usually sufficient. For optimal odor absorption, we recommend changing OdorTrap® Packs every 2-4 weeks, but replacement frequency is up to you and your cats' usage patterns.How do I use OdorTrap® Packs with Litter-Robot 4?
What are the ingredients of the Cleaner Wipes?
Safe, all-natural ingredients include water, high-count good bacteria (naturally occurring within our own digestive system), and amino acidic enzymes known as amylase, lipase, and protease (all of which are naturally occurring within our bodies).Will my cat actually use Litter-Robot 4?
Most likely. Many cats use Litter-Robot within several days to a week of setting it up. Those already familiar with a covered litter box may be quicker to investigate Litter-Robot 4. The trick is to ease your cat into transitioning to Litter-Robot. You can avoid startling your kitty by leaving Litter-Robot switched off until you notice your cat has used it. We recommend that you place Litter-Robot in the same location as the old litter box. You can leave the old litter box near Litter-Robot for a short time. Take a cup of litter from the old litter box and add it to the clean litter in Litter-Robot. The scent will be familiar, and your cat should be inclined to check it out. Yes. Litter-Robot 4 uses laser and weight sensor technology to detect when your cat enters and exits the globe, which triggers the countdown timer and cleaning cycle. The SmartScale™will not recognize kittens that weigh less than 3 lbs. Therefore, kittens that weigh less than 3 lbs can use Litter-Robot 4, but not in automatic mode. Until they weigh enough, we recommend using your Litter-Robot in "semi-automatic" mode to keep your kitten safe and relieve you from litter box scooping. For "semi-automatic" mode, leave Litter-Robot powered off or unplugged. When you see your kitten has used it, wait about 7 minutes for the waste to clump, then power it on. Litter-Robot will automatically perform a clean cycle. Afterward, power it off again. Continue this supervised, semi-automatic mode until your kittens have gained sufficient weight to activate the SmartScale™.Does Litter-Robot 4 have a weight limit?
No, Litter-Robot 4 does not have a weight limit. With entryway dimensions of 15.75"H x 15.75"W and interior globe dimensions of 15"-17"H (depending on litter level) x 19"W x 18"D, almost any domestic cat can fit comfortably inside the globe.Does Litter-Robot require special litter?
No, Litter-Robot 4 does not require special litter. Litter-Robot works well with almost any clumping or scoopable litter. However, translucent or white-colored litter (most often seen in crystal litter) may impact the litter level and Drawer Full Indicator (DFI) accuracy in Litter-Robot 4. Litter-Robot is not compatible with litters that are strictly absorbent, non-clumping, loose-clumping, newspaper-based, or wood-based pellets. We suggest all-natural GreatLitter® for Litter-Robot.Will Litter-Robot 4 eliminate litter box odors?
Litter-Robot 4 features an optional OdorTrap® System designed to neutralize litter box odors. This system uses the combination of a sealed waste drawer and carbon filter to reduce odor. Litter-Robot 4 requires a 2.4 GHz WiFi signal and IPv4 or IPv6 addressing (5 GHz band not supported). To connect to a shared network (apartment complexes, college dorms, etc.) provide your unit’s MAC address shown on the QR code sticker to the shared network administrator.When will my Litter-Robot 4 ship?

Can Litter-Robot 4 be used on carpet or uneven surfaces?
Yes. However, SmartScale® technology (to record cat weight) is most accurate on a firm, level surface, not carpeting. If you plan to use Litter-Robot 4 on carpet or uneven flooring, please purchase our Carpet Tray accessory. This will sit between the unit and the floor and improve the accuracy of SmartScale® weight readings when on carpet or uneven surfaces.How do I update my firmware?
The Litter-Robot 4 is able to receive over-the-air firmware updates as Whisker releases new functionality and enhancements. You'll need to update your firmware manually within the Whisker App. You can visit here for detailed steps.

How is Scoops Saved calculated?
For each cycle, the tracker increments the Scoops Saved count by one, estimating the total number of scoops you’ve avoided. The count may vary with the occasional cycle that does not scoop litter or cycles that clean up multiple cat bathroom visits, but on average, each cycle represents one scoop saved!
My Scoops Saved number doesn’t look right; what can I do?
If your scoops saved doesn’t look right you can reset it back to zero by navigating to your robot settings screen and clicking the option to reset your scoops saved. Please note resetting your scoops saved cannot be reversed!
If I already have an account on litter-robot.com, do I have to log in again when using the app to make purchases?
We offer single sign-on, which means you will be automatically signed into your litter-robot.com account when using the app. Both accounts will synchronize automatically. That being said, if you set up your app account and litter-robot.com account using different email addresses, this single sign-on will not work.
How do I access my orders and subscriptions from litter-robot.com in the App?
You can access your orders and subscriptions from the App’s bottom navigation bar in the new “Account’’ tab.
Can I pause my active subscriptions in the app?
Yes, you can pause any of your active subscriptions for up to a year. To do this, tap on the “Account” tab in the bottom navigation bar, then “Subscription Management” and then “Edit Subscription”.
