Litter-Robot 3: Buttons and lights

Control panel buttons 


Power

Press and release the Power button to turn the robot ON of OFF. The robot will begin a clean cycle when power is turned on.

Press and hold, while at the home position, to enter night light setting mode.


Cycle

Press and release the Cycle button to start a clean cycle.

If already cycling, press Cycle to pause; press again to resume a cycle. 

Press and hold, while at the home position, to enter sleep mode.


Empty

Press and release the Empty button to start an empty cycle (empties all litter into the waste drawer). If you use the Whisker app, press Reset Gauge in the Controls section of the app when you empty the waste drawer to reset the waste drawer level in the app.

If already cycling, press Empty to pause; press again to cancel a cycle.

Press and hold, while at the home position, to enter cycle delay setting mode.


Reset

Press and release the Reset button to reset the cat sensor. (Do this after emptying the waste drawer, adding litter, etc.)

If already cycling, press Reset to pause; press again to cancel a cycle.

Press and hold, while at the home position, to enter control panel lockout.


What do the lights mean?

Yellow lights

Solid yellow light:
Incorrect globe positioning or issue with motor gears.

Yellow light flashing slowly:
The Litter-Robot clean cycle was interrupted. 

Yellow light flashing quickly:
Pinch condition detected. 

Solid yellow and blue light:
Sleep mode enabled. 

Red lights

Solid red light:
The cat sensor was activated by your cat entering the globe while the unit was ready for use.

Flashing red light:
The cat sensor was activated continuously for 2 minutes or more. 

Yellow & red flashing sequentially:
Motor detects obstruction or jam during clockwise rotation. 

Blue & red flashing sequentially:
Motor detects obstruction or jam during counter-clockwise rotation. 

Blue lights

Solid blue light:
Litter-Robot is ready for use

Blue light flashing:
Waste drawer full

Blue & red flashing sequentially:
Motor detects obstruction or jam during counter-clockwise rotation. 

Light combinations 

Yellow & red flashing sequentially:
Motor detects obstruction or jam during clockwise rotation. 

Blue & red flashing sequentially:
Motor detects obstruction or jam during counter-clockwise rotation. 

Blue, yellow, red flashing sequentially:
Cannot find Dump position. 

Red, yellow, blue flashing sequentially:
Cannot find Home position.

Red, yellow, blue flashing simultaneously:
Cannot find Dump or Home position.
